I'm an avid dreamer, and it fascinates me how the mind rewinds and digs and divulges during sleep time.
The process of reflecting and journeying and becoming while our eyes are closed seems to me to be an extraordinary thing - images and stories sometimes become fantastical - all twisty and wild and unexpected. Everyday happenings become cloaked in symbolism and are sifted and sorted as the day is filed and feelings are explored, lessons are solidified and memories are plumbed and connected.
In addition to helping to cement understanding, it's been my experience that dreams create a safe, personal space to invert thinking. They allow us to go to a different place or be another person, try out something new or create an alternative ending or to practice and redo or reconcile and embed what's been.
It seems that they allow us to live more fully and to evolve in our ways of being while we’re awake.
